June 12 is the date for this year's weiner run. Hosted out of Lakeside Yacht Club, the run is truly open to all (slower boats are invived to start early so we can all make the lunch stop at noon). LYC is located in downtown Cleveland at the East end of the breakwall (http://www.lakesideyachtclub.com/Pages/PokerRuns.aspx). From a mass start around 11:00, we will travel approximately 35 miles West to Vermillion where we have the entire city dock reserved for us and Quaker Steak and Lube will be hosting a wing buffet for us (see Quaker Steak and the dock at http://www.quakersteakandlube.com/vermilion_OH/). Around 2:00 we will head East to Cleveland and a very short way up the Cuyahoga River/Old River to the private docks of Christie's Cabaret (http://www.christiescabaret.com/cleveland/index.html) or, if you prefer, its less scandalous neighbor, Shooters. Christie's will have an outside bar and girls to entertain us (plus maybe a few surprizes they are working on). After that, we will head back to LYC for dinner and dancing on the deck. Sunday morning (not too early!!) will have brunch and pool time waiting for us.
$99 covers lunch, stir-fry dinner, Sunday brunch buffet, and Tee-shirts for two plus Saturday night docking with late check-out Sunday. Passengers are $45 each for the same. Hands are separate. LYC has hooked up a killer deal with a really high-end hotel if you don't want to sleep on your boat - call Larry at LYC if you are interested. Larry has also arranged trailer parking if you need it (suggested ramp is Edgewater Park at the West end of the breakwall; LYC may be able to arrange lift-in for an additional fee).
Promises to be a good time as always and the more the merrier. Docks with power are on a first come/first served basis so book early!!
