Hi all, Well after selling our outlaw last season we finally picked up a 1999 272 w/ 454 MPI. Needless to say, I am again in love with my Baja. The boat came with gil offshore exhaust, 4 blade ss prop and merc ss 3 blade 23p., and a k&n air filter. Before I bought her I did some forum digging and figured she could maybe top out around 64 on a perfect day. Well 2 days ago I ran her for the first time With the 4 blade, and hit a speedo reading of 72 and a GPS of 69.7. Also my trim tabs were not working, so she wasn't running as fast as i think she can. Could these speeds be possible with this setup? Seems high to me. Whats else could be in this girl?

Plus or minus 10% of Merc #s could be as much as 420-425 hp out of a 454 mag
