Default 38 Fever ssm IV props

I just got a 1990 38 Fountain Fever. Has 1.5 ssm IV drives. Gonna need a starting point for props. Will be putting my 600HP engines in it. Any insight would be good as for a starting point. My buddy has some 19 spline 17x27 4 blades he said i can borrow. Looking to be in the 5300rpm range wot.

Try the 17x27's!!

I think they will give us a great base line to work off of.

Found some 17x28 3 blades. Would these be worth trying out with the drives mounted high? The shafts are about 2" below the bottom. Know of another 38 fever with similar power who runs 17x29 3 blades but with ssm III's

For the guys above who have props, are they 19 spline or 26?

However, it is a 1990 hull. I think you'll like the 4 blades better.

I dont think theyd be enough. Guessing the boat should run around 80mph with the power i have, from what ive found out history wise about the boat...1.5 drives, guessing i'll need to be in the 27-29p range? 5200-5400 Rpm is where i need to be...
