Merc 525 Carbon Fiber Coolant Covers
#2
There were a few companies that made powder coated alum and carbon fiber ones for the 496 and 525. They were at ridiculous prices in my opinion.
I would like a couple too if you find them.
Stamped alum powdercoated was around $ 400 + I think.
Seems a little pricey. I imagine CF is closer to $ 600

Jarrod Ward at www.aquaprintgrafix.com did mine. My ps tank and coolant tank together set me back $175 plus shipping.
Don't bother asking them to leave you a "sight window" so you can see the levels. Even so, you can't see it due to the surface prep that is done to the tanks.
Came out REAL nice though!

200 bucks sounds better to me than over 600. Unless you are buying a "real" custom made carbon fiber tank from Merc, it will be the same coating as what other companies shrink it with...

$200 sounds better to me as well. The Merc ones are just covers, sounds like yours are the complete tanks covered in cf. What is the turn around time approx?

It is a "total" coating instead of just the topside or edges... it's like a water transerable heat shrink that literally looks just like carbon fiber. Hard to tell if you did not know...
