Has anyone installed one of these push start buttons on their boat? It seems like they would be really easy to do and would give the boat a nice look to it. My question is im guessing the same push start ignition switch for a car would work on a boat correct?

Same idea but I used a momentary toggle switch.

I would think same push button will work. Both are 12volt system,button doesnt care what it is hooked to

I am guessing a push start switch made for a car isn't waterproof.

Cole Hersee makes them, they have a waterproof rubber button cover in gray or black... you need to use a dpst switch to trigger it... had them on my Cary

Has anybody added push button start,If you did how do you like it?

I'm adding them this week. All my friends have them and I really like them. I think I am going to add the blue LED when the Ignition is like in the 2nd post. I'll throw up some pics in a few days of what I used. I am rewiring my whole boat. What a mess Wellcraft had under the dash on my Panther. I don't think they could have had more of a mess if they tried..........
