I have a 1994 272 with Mercury HP500 (Carb), Bravo 1, 1.5 ratio.
Started with a Labbed 26P and achieved 68mph (GPS) at 5000RPM
Switched to a 24P Stock achieved about 67mph (GPS) at 5250 RPM, had real bad chine walk with this prop. Got worse with positive trim and didnt change with various tab input.
Got a hookup on a 24 that has been pitched to a 25 with labbing.
Also have a 26P Labbed with Baja cupping to try out. Any other props that I should give a try? Was thinking maybe a Mirage Plus 25P 3 Blade?
Shoot some ideas, I was hoping to get above 70.
All props tested so far were Mercury Bravo Series, 4 Blade.

You might think i am nuts , but a friend of mine tried a 25 solas hr titan prop. The prop has lot of rake ( hr ) and really gets the bow up. He is running a 502 mag and we gained 3 mph over a bravo 1 24 pitch. It is a small prop at 14 widith witch means you can spin it up. They also make a 27 hr titan blade
