Lutz do you have Tripple A? Who did you fly with? I think you said Southwest. Call them up and see if they can get you a bargain rate. For the 4 days you are talking I would imagine that you will be able to find something btwn your tripple a and Southwest. The only other suggestion is Travelocity or one of those sites. Priceline maybe? It is going to be hot out there so some of the time you will actually not want the top down to get some reliefe

Lutz, try booking it on Travelocity. When I went to D.C. to look at my Pantera, before I bought it, the per day rate was like half of what any company quoted me on the phone. The rate on Travelocity does not include any standard taxes or fees, but those will be the same or a percentage of the total rental fee.

I rented a convertable vette a few years ago and it was $150 per day, then my my pastey, michigan winter tan having ass, was so burnt when I got to havasu. Well not on my ass, but you get the point. Dont ask me where it was from though, just one of those rental places on the strip with cool cars is all I know. The ferarri was $300 a day, but you could only have it for 50 miles or less per day, I need to do that one of these days. That's as close to having one as I'll ever get. Be careful in the desert, I got a ticket in the middle of nowhere from a chips cop, he said they timed me from a plane and radioed it in. I did see alot of patrol cars hiding behind billboards and stuff on the way down. I dont think there is much else for them to do in the desert. I stayed a night at the stardust, and was on my way to the riviera when I found the place, they are right across the dtreet from each other, but the riviera has a rental place inside, enterprise I think.

For the prices that you were quoted you could rent a convertable vette. We rented a prowler last year for 99 per day. I was thinking about buying one until I spent ten minutes in that car.
