More potentially good news for Miami Marine Stadium?

It's nice to read various stories that detail the desire to keep this facility in place (instead of building condos) and to work on updating and renovating this historic venue. Although I’m no native of Miami, I have visited the stadium via water - the allure and stories told of the heyday of this one of a kind location are very intriguing. I would love to see races conducted here again.
On a related note, I’ve heard a rumor that they may be putting on races at the arena (with temporary water front stands) just prior to the Key West world races in Nov. 2010. If nothing else, the prospect of progress is hopeful.
