Couldn't read story but around here we're privy to at least 3 exposions everyseason, large plumes of blacksmoke and soot that could be avoided by opening the hatch or turning on the blower... One thing I learned from flight school that I carried on to the boat was a pre flight check...

The story says that the boat had idled for a few minutes before the explosion. That would imply that something happened after he started it. He might very well have been Sammy Safety...

You never know. I had the core of a Schrader valve come loose on my injection system. All was fine in the pre-start inspection. Turned the key, and fuel went everywhere...
Hope that the guy is all right...

Anyone know what year and motors were in the boat? There was a 96 382 with 415's that burned to the water last year in the James River. The boat was on plan when the fire started. They both like just like ours, We got phone calls after last year's fire.
