Default instructions on factory depth sounder?

the owners manual doesn't say how to adjust the factory depth sounder on my boat. its the little two inch round digital one. it came set at five feet for shallow setting, off on the deep setting, and set at a -2. can anyone fill me in on how it should be set?

Does it have two buttons on the front, a down arrow and an up arrow?

It has three. Up and down arrow buttons and a "set" button inbetween them.

It's made by Humminbird. Should be an HDR 610.
You can call Humminbird tech. service at 334-687-0503, or Humminbird at 800-633-1468.

I've got the Humminbird owners manual at home. Let me know if you don't find what you're looking for and I can FAX you a copy of the manual....it has instructions in there.
