I Have A 01 25' Daytona With A Teauge Quadrotor 1200hp 565ci And A Imco Drive. How Hard Would It Be To Change It Out To A #6??? I Might Be Intrested In Trade For A 30' V Or A Bigger Cat With Less Power Also. Too Fast For Wife And She Alway's *****s. If I Do Keep It I Want To Put A #6 Drive On It. Never Had A Problem With The Imco Thought. I Change The Drive Oil Everytime I Go Out And Never See Any Bit's Of Steel. For All Of U Askin About The Quadrotor The Motor Is Sick!! Reliable. I Cruise At 80 All Day.

Go with the imco SCX instead of that 6. Remember if you do 6 drive you also have a transmission. So you will have hardly any back seat because it would need to be moved about a foot forward. There has been some 25's with 6's installed

There are a few Daytona's with #6 drives there is one at Offshore Marine in Boulder City NV. Pretty sick set-up. I think the best #6 set-up I have ever seen is on "Washed Ashore's" 26' DCB over on Performance Boats. I'd look into Max Machine works billet drive rather that puttong all that work into a #6.

sure, you can buy a 6 relatively cheap BUY, you need to move the motor which means new exhaust and some rigging, new transom assembly which is big$$$, new props big$$ new bell housing, transmission, engine hatch, and so on and so on.......
I think 40 grand is on the low side.
I am running an Imco SCX behind my 900 and so far its been perfect. 15 grand and no mods to the boat. Way better idea I think.
What does your boat run with the 300 extra HP in it?
