Go to the HORBA website www.historicraceboats.com and in the Links section, there is a link to a 233 Registry....this is the only boat they deal with.

One of my favorite articles, from 50 years ago, documenting my personal heroes well deserved 'Left Coast' endurance racing victory.
Late Pete Rothschild is racing his 1962 Formula Thunderballs, (ex. Bill Wishnick's Amalie Oiler), with a 770 hp blown 427 Holman-Moody Ford in her.
His buddies Larry Smith, (of almost 10 years later Team Scarab Sportboats founding fame) and mechanical genius, late Chuck Daigh along,
since he was the one that had sorted out the boat, among other things made sure their Bob Nordskog designed trim-tabs were trimmed to perfection
and most importantly knew how to keep the mill running well. The Sports Illustrated article is unique for it's time with unusually great photography and
dramatic writing.

P.S. An article about the late wizard Chuck Daigh: https://books.google.com/books?id=BfwDAAAAMBAJ&pg=PA58&dq=%22chuck+daigh%22 +memorial&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjS-8WriITYAhUE44MKHSwiC38Q6AEIKTAA
A sweet obituary in memoriam; gentleman & sportsman Peter 'Pete' Bennett Rothschild, PETER ROTHSCHILD Obituary - Santa Ana, CA Orange County Register

Now I know why You were looking for an Interceptor Randy
That's a great photo of you guys running really hard! What power did it have and
what were you most impressed by as far as the 233's seaworthiness?

She had 2 357 SBC's. About 470 hp each.
As for the hull. It is just the best ruff water hull ever. The water a the "Gate" can be unreadable. But the 233 just eat's it up. A little hard on the crew but the boat just go's.

All the white ,was a wave. It got in the way ! LOL
