Baja 245 Re-Power Questions
Any help would be great...!
My Baja came stock with the gutless 6.2 which might get me to 52 mph. In others words I'm being passed by wake board boats, so i was going to re-power her.
So the question is whats to much, if there is such a thing and what does everyone think about prochargers?

i was told that pro chargers just are'nt reliable.

An engine stolen?! That's a new one, I guess thieves have more time on their hands nowadays!

I would look for a 525 or 500 efi to put in it. That will make the boat very desirable for resale later on down the road. If you don't want to spend the $$ for one of those, look for a 496 Mag HO. The HO is 425 HP.
I would NOT buy a supercharged engine for that boat unless you plan to keep it forever & you like fixing drives.

Im with Jason on the 525 or the 500 efi but on the 496 if you go that route just leave it alone as far as upgrades go...they wont last long. Or do the 502 with the chager.....I dont how deep your pockets are though.

Jason, nice graffics. I've got the same on my 245 or at least really close.
I've found a 525 and a 575. what do you think would be a good price range?
Ive already replaced the drive with a xr upper and sportsmaster lower. i have a bravo 1 with 96 hours for sale if you know any who needs one
