ok had hp 500s and ran 27 hydros at 5200. now have 540s and ran the 27s today. i ran them to 5000 rpm and had about 35% throttle left. want to prop them to 5500 to 5800 .what pitch should i try. thanks brian

whatever you have now...go up 4 inches and start from there.

You should try going WOT first to see what RPM they will turn since you dont know how much over 5800 rpm thy will turn. I am not saying that you wont need to go up in pitch or that you should just WOT till she breaks, but making sure it will actually turn 5800 first should be the first step.
