Default Oil pressure guage sending unit?

Looking at the front of the motor, sitting in the boat, is the oil pressure sending unit for the guage on the alternator side, or sea water pump side of a 502 mpi. If i had to make an educated guess, i'd say the alternator side.............

Port side of engine about 3/4 of the way toward the stern.
