Default 1960 biesmyer flat bottom

hello i recently bought a 60 biesmyer flat bottom i know it is not a offshore but wondering if anyone knows anything about them and how early they started making all fiberglass boats the number tag under the dash says 60067 and i have a title that states that it is a 1960 where can i find out more about this boat thanks Greg

There is another web site called Scream and Fly.com

They have a section for those kind of boats....all your questions re the boat would be ansewered there. Good luck with the boat, they were good boats.

You might learn a little bit more about it at the site known as "Riverdaves".
Post some pictures here though. I know I'm not the only one here that likes the old flatties.

there was a guy that wrote the V-drive column for Hot Boat magazine a while back who is an expert in these things. cant recall his name but if you can find a copy from years back he is probably in it. he owns a shop in central California I think. I currently have a 1970 Wesco flatbottom V-drive but it is lacking an engine right now. May end up listing it for sale somewhere as the lake around here gets pretty rough and I need something I cant sink if I stop too close to a passing big boat. good luck they are fun.

i have a 1975 hondo flat with a gale banks twin turbo motor,i love all the old v drive boats if you can,please post some pictures..

Check out PerformanceBoats.com... There are tons of Flatty die hards on that site....!! Someone will probably even remember it...

i have had a lot of flattys and one hydro matter of fact i am sitting in my rv at firebird raceway as we speek ready for the lucas drag boat racing series to start friday thru sunday
i found this languishing in a boat yard in lake havasu az it has all hallcraft hardware in it i will be putting a 301 small block i have sitting in my shop it is one of those build it and something will come along i will give the pic thing a try and thanks for the input guy's
