'89 35ss Sonic 4-sale in Bloomingburg, NY---WARNING
BUYER BEWARE!! Quote from listing "needs very little tlc "
The owner will LIE if you ask him and/or not tell you this:
The boat is a salt water boat originating from Fla.; there are barnicles still on the bottom, the drives, trim tabs, and gimbal assembly deeply corroded. The steering is seized. Most of all the hinges/hardware in the cabin are rusted (I repeatedly asked him if it was a salt water boat)
The 1 engine that he says is OK has the manifolds removed and has rust coming out of the exhaust ports and is siezed (owner stated it would run)
The gelcote looks beat and is blistered down the port side along with a chunk the size of a apple slice busted out of transom, and the list goes on (owner stated it was in excellent shape)
Trailer tires are almost flat and checked, no 3rd wheel, and the brake actuator is all rusty (owner stated it was in excellent shape and would be OK to trailer the 5 hrs back home)
I'm posting this to save anyone else the disappointment/waste of time going to look at this boat! It was a 10hr round trip for me. I hope it rots in his yard!!
