Hey Guys,

I'm trying to spec out a hoist for my 21' Scarab Excel (1990 Model), and I'm trying to find out it's actual weight. According to Wellcraft's website:

It's a 3800 lb boat.

However, I know they didn't change much between 89 to 90, and they say that the 89 model is a 3100 lb boat.

Has anyone had theirs on a scale, I'd like to know if I can get away with my 3600 lb lift, or if I have to step up to a 4000lb one.

I have a 1995 Scarab 22 and was wondering the same thing..

1994 Scarab 22: 3800 lbs?
1995 Scarab 22: 3000 lbs
1996 Scarab 22: 3200 lbs

They are all basically the same boat... except in 1994 they did not list a big block as an option, yet list it as being the heaviest that year?

I have an 89 excel, I had always read it was 3600+ dry. Maybe I was wrong......

89 was rated 3100lbs w/350, 90 was 3800lbs w 7.4, 1994 3800lbs ESTIMATED w/350

Seems like my 90 hull has solid hull and stringers.
