water temp 454mag mpi
Anyone know what the temp is supposed to be for these motors (seawater cooled) Can I run a 140-150 Thermostat so they run just a little cooler. I have one running 155-160 and one running 165-170..
Should I also **** can the motor water pump and use cross overs or will that make it run warmer????

454mag MPI's use a 160* tstat stock. I would leave them at 160*. No reason to run it cooler. The temps you are running are correct and the 10* variance is nothing to worry about. It could just be the gauge or sensor.
