Default Mufflers for dry exhaust?

Does anyone make them? I'm in the process of doing all new exhaust on my Top Gun. I'm going with the stainless marine 5" stuff. I can run the elbow risers and they'll need to be run dry....or I can spring for a custom tailpipe (no risers) with more rise and they can be run with water introduced in the tails. I'd prefer to run them dry....but only if I can find someone that makes a muffler that would work on a dry exhaust.

They are talking about starting to enforce noise laws around where I boat and I need to have the ability to install mufflers if I get busted. I'll run 'em dry until that happens. My neighbors wouldn't want it any other way.

Thanks in advance,
Craig

Craig, look into Super Trapps. They run them on race cars. Thats where I got the idea to use them on an old boat I had many moons ago. Took a tiny bit of fabbing to get them on and they worked great on dry tails.http://www.supertrapp.com/product_se...t.asp?CatID=27

my old s/m tails had a tiny hole or two at the end of my tails 95% of the water dumped out of dumps on the transom. that is just enuff water to wet mufflers, I am having new 5'' built soon and will do that and go with gibson clamp on mufflers for the lakes.

I just spoke with Graham @ GGB. They are back in the marine game and have some 5" inserts that he said will work with what I'm doing. I'll wait and see if I get hassled and then call him if I need to.

That would be great news. I have been running GGB Extremes on the ends of my full dry CMI's for several years. I think they work great.
