Default Barefoot Water Skiing Behind A 50' Nor-Tech - PHOTOS

On a trip with plenty of memorable moments with Bobthebuilder and Team Predator today will rank as some of the best ever.

This one is so damn unbelievable it needs its own thread.

We met some local guys yesterday when we pulled into Turks and Caicos.
They came over to check out the boat and
one of the guys immediately started talking about how he wanted to waterski barefoot behind it.

He wasn't joking. And today, on the fourth try, he succeeded in doing the impossible.

Doug is also a great cook and he and his friends showed us some real island hospitality
as we hung out with them in a beautiful spot on their island.
Incredible day. More photos later in Bob's adventure thread.

The crew- Andrew, Tiki, Doug and What's His Name...

Gettin' lined up.
Doug tried 4 times before nailing it. Once even to drop a ski, but there was too much turbulence from 3 props.

I'm sure Predator didn't even know he was there.

Obviously, not an easy task. But the man was persistent.

The effort involved a technique they called 'cheeking'...

Here's a closer look--
you can see what he's riding on and where this maneuver got its name.

He's up!

Barefootin' -- Turks and Caicos style!

What a day it was, Jay. Lots of fun with the locals showed us a good time. Here is the view from the boat.
Doug hurt himself in that fall on attempt #3 but was determined to try again and nailed it. To get him outside the wash behind the boat I had to make a bit of a turn that you can see in the last pic. The channel was narrow and not a lot of room. We had 150 ft of rope out but more would have been better.

Looks like fun but I'm kinda pissed.
We had all of those hours of time to Cancun and back.
Had I known I would have brought a tow line and my suit.
Who cares if it was 5' seas it would have made the time pass.
