I did a complete rerig and just finished yesterday for a test run.
Tried to do as much research as possible and thought that labbed 30's would be my best bet. I have a 32 fountain fever single step , with 500efi's , and the props are Bravos labbed by BBlades .
Here is my dilemma, Never once spun out taking off with my stock power and 26 pitch hydromotives even under heavy throttle.
WIth my new set up first attempt at throttling up slowly It started blowing props very easily . In fact had to work at it to stop from happening. Strange thing is ,I am only getting about 5000 RpM out of them. This issue can be a working the trim problem . I hope. It was my first time out and was rather antsy...
Motors seem to be making good power , but wow , the spinout is pretty bad and will have to do somthing
Im pretty sure props are turning in, put them back the way I took the Hydros off.

That's funny since Reggie wanted all his boats sold and advertised as delivered with Labbed props in 1998. It's a long story but the bean counters wouldn't cut him a deal so we (Dennis, Me and Mercury Racing) couldn't give him the price he wanted. Boy was he pi$$ed. I remember it like it was yesterday.
Point is, Fountains, as well as all boats run the best with props built specific to the boat. ie. the best Lab recipe for the boat, its set up and the customers desires. Some times, the best Lab recipe is only balancing the props and matching them.
Stock can be just fine. Fountians run great with Labbed propellers. 27's and 29's are the most sensitive.
