Default Adding an add a leaf spring

How hard is it to add an add a leaf to the front of an 02 f250? Will I need a front end alignment after doing this? I am trying to put 305/70/16s on and they are telling me they will not fit without raising the front is that true?
Thanks
Dale

I did the procomp leviling kit not add a leafs, it comes with an all new spring pack both sides, shocks, and trackbar. took a few hrs to get on and no troubles just soak it all down good with pb blaster or wd a few fads out to let it soak.

Has anyone put on 305/70/17 without adding any lift?

I'm running 315/75/16. What year is your truck? If its leaf spring the worst point for rubbing with be on the spring itself. I had a front add-a-leaf added and i'm not thrilled with the ride quality but I did gain the height I needed. Truck already had two add a leafs in the rearand a one in higher block in the back.

I have a Rubicon 2.5" lift for the front that I thought of putting on but now I'm leaning towards dropping the rear as 4+" seems a bit much for daily driving and towing.
