I am having a problem throwing V belts to the alternator, water pump and power steering. It caused me to burn up an engine two years ago because I was not watching the guages. Had a new motor built last season and no issues. This year I have thrown them three times. This last time the water pump belt broke. I replace all the belts with the engine. Anyone have any advice?

you need to recheck all your pulleys for alignment to the crank pulley. Sounds like maybe a spacer is not correct. Throwing belts is almost always a pulley alignment issue.
Get a good straight edge and set it against the face of the crank pulley and then check all other pulleys for being parallel to and even with the crank pulley.
Then roll the motor over 1/2 turn and recheck to make sure your crank pulley isn't bent.
