Every now and again I have what I consider a "good" idea. So, I need to reupholster my deck. I have all of the foam and it seems to be in good shape. I also have a ski jacket that is made of foam with a vinyl film over the foam (you know the ones). My thought was instead of covering the foam with vinyl cloth, why couldn't it be sprayed or dipped or whatever like the ski jacket! That would be awesome! I was thinking I could glue the foam to a piece of wood that has the SS mounts in it already (to attach to the boat) then coat/cover/encase/whatever the whole thing in the vinyl liquid. Researching I found a place that refinishes wrestling / gymnastics mats. I was considering talking to them about it. Has anyone ever seen or done this?
