Default Mercury Marine Diesel oil in a Duramax

I have several cases of Mercury diesel motor oil that I can’t sell. Can I run it in my Duramax? Would it hurt anything?

You need to look at the api rating and see if its approved. I would not run any non-approved oil in an emissions equipped diesel "2006 on up" .

If you have an older diesel and the viscosity is approved then I dont see why not.
