Question Modified Bravo water pick-up??

I looked again at my outdrives ( on my "new" boat!), and the only place that looks like it may pickup water is a 3/8" hole on the front/bottom side, right below the nose point of the nosecones. Both drives are the same & have been modified with complete IMCO internals & nose cones. I can see NO other water pickups anywhere!
Is that adequate water intake? The engines do run cool enough as far as the gauges show. How can you supply water to this set-up to run it in the driveway??

Well, IMCO does not have, make or know of a source for a water pickup "muff".....I hope someone on OSO has an idea on this????
