This thing worked great, is cheap ($45) and easy to install. Pre install my hatch took 40 sec to raise completly - after install only 17 sec. Its basically just a relay - run power directly from battery to box, cut the wires from switch to electric motor and install per wiring diagram. They told me it would also help with the life of the motor as it will not be "starved" for power now.

Is that for hydraulic rams only?

Mine is a screw type jack inside the sleeve with an electric motor that turns the screw. I think it's like a garage door opener screw mechanism.

Maybe I should call them.
