Default Just Sold My H2x And Going To Pick Up 2006 25 Outlaw! Things To Watch Or Look For?

I Just Sold My Boat Which I Love. It Was A Litle Rough For Me, For A 24 Ft Boat It Was Dicey In 2-3 Chop. It Was A 385 Hp Boat Ran 72 Mph At 5000 Rpm On Speedo Never Gps It But Felt Fast.

What Kind Of Speed Should I Expect Out Of A 25 Outlaw 496 Ho. And When I Go To Get It Should I Look For Any Thing Or Known Issues.

Also I Am Just A Little Nervous Cause Im Going Up About 15000 In Boat For Only A Foot!

Yea they are expensive like that, actually you may loose some tope end, 25 OL, 496ho 425hp 65-68mph depending on weight and set up. However you will find the ride to be much more solid and take 2-3' waves much better. OL has deeper V. Also it is more than 1 foot if you include the swim platform, you H2X included everything, OL only measure fiberglass, so add 16" for platform.

watch for stress cracks on the transom. from what i have seen almost every single 25 i have seen older then like 2003 has transom cracks in the corners. not sure how bad they are or if they will hurt anything, but i would think if you found one without them that would say who ever owned it didnt use it hard and jumped it etc.
the only issue my father has had with his 2005 25 is the head linner came down, the glue let go i a couple spots. we fixed it 2 years ago and its been fine since.
other then that its been a great boat, his last 2 where so good he just got a 26 last year for his summer home.
the 25 handles very very good. very solid boat and takes the water very nice, a lot better then your hammer

tampabeach is spot on. great boat and will handle much better then your h2x. really they are two total different boats not just one foot. my 25 is an 02 and i have no stress cracks or any problems to this date. we have enjoyed the hell out of this boat for the six years ive had it. 496 ho is a great motor i have never had any problems with it. ive had friends who own mti's cigarettes, and outerlimits on my boat and they says its a great boat for what its is. buy it,use it and have a blast!!

25 OL is more like a 28 footer with the tubular swim platform. 24' H2X counts the molded fiberglass platform. So as far as your insurance knows it is only 25' but wait until you are rafted up next to a 280 Velocity or 29 Fountain and you will see just how "25 foot" a 25OL really is. Enjoy your new boat.
