If you're interested in seeing the new Gen IV Ilmor 725 engine and Indy drive package, the 28 Batboat will be in the Northern Chesapeake Poker Run this weekend, June 18/19. While I'm not an Ilmor employee or spokesman, I'll be happy to answer any questions as best I can.
The run starts and finishes at Tome's Landing Marina in Port Deposit, MD, with a lunch stop at the River Watch Restaurant in Essex, MD on the Middle River. The boat will also be on land in Port Deposit both before and after the run. Exact times and location(s) on land are still being determined.
This is a great run for a great cause and a great price if you're free this weekend.

Chuck,
I have been following your work on this project and I am glad to see positive results of all your hard work, I think it is fantastic. Great looking package that is a great performer. I will not be able to make it to Maryland this weekend, but sometime this summer I would love to see that boat blasting down the water-way. That is great combination you have.
Did you finally find the prop that you like best? And how did the boat perform with that prop, top end, rpm?
Stephen

Smarty - I'm expecting delivery of my 5-blade, 18 degree Hering prop tomorrow, so we'll see how things go on Friday afternoon....
30 boats are now entered in the run, and the weather looks to be GREAT!

Hope to see some of you there. Ilmor is sending me some brochures to pass out to those who might be interested. The weather forecast looks great!
