I am upgrading my 97 501mpi/whipple fuel system to eliminate the stock fuel system and whipple. I am going to use an aeromotive a1000 fuel pump and boost referenced regulator. I have searched and found good information and I want to tap the fuel rail, but have not seen any detailed instructions, so I have questions! Maybe it is straight forward once I start, but any tips would be helpfull!

What size? 3/8 NPT to -8an

What type of tap? male pipe tap.

Do you need to drill it? If so what size drill bit.

Procedure to unshroud #7 injector. Once again maybe straight forward

What about the return line port that will no longer be needed.
Tap and plug it?
Is there room to tap both ports side-by-side?

What sealer for pipe threads? thread tape, pipe dope
