Default Boat position on the trailer and slings usage

Below is a detail of my Fever 27 on her trailer.
I have a couple of questions for the trailer experts among you.

Firstly, the hull length which is hanging out of the trailer, as shown in the pic, is 4 or 5 inches. The engine mounts are much further forward, so most of the weight should be properly supported, but maybe it's better to have a longer support anyway?

Secondly, I'm not actually using the trailer to carry the boat around, but just as a cradle where the boat sits in a shelter of my marina. The slings used to put the boat in the water and back, quite often remain catched between the trailer and the hull, so the boat sits (for days, or even weeks sometimes) on the slings. They're not very thick, 1/8" or so, but again I'm wondering if that can damage the hull in the long run...

Thanks in advance for your views.

You need to extend your bunks atleast to the end of the hull or you run the risk of getting a rocker. When you redo the bunks cut a section out so you can run the sling thru in the right spot.

Good luck.

The previous owner of my boat cut sections from the trailer bunks to sling the boat on/off.

As said, the bunks should be extended to be safe. Over the long term, it could create a hook in the hull.
I don't think the straps will create any real problems in a few days or week.

Thanks all, I'll arrange to slightly shift the bunks astern for those 4 or 5 inches (it's easier than extending them).
I hope Griff is right about the straps, because I'd rather not cut a bunk section out, for a practical reason: when lifting the boat, the straps are placed according to a mark on the side of the hull, but underwater it's impossible to place them so accurately. Therefore, the section I should cut out on the bunks should be rather wide to be sure that the slings fall inside it every time...
