Default need advice on prop for 2006 baja 25 outlaw hitting rev limit

well i just picked up a 2006 baja 25 outlaw took it out and it comes out of the hole quick compared to my h2x. but at about 66-67 on speedo it hits 5400 rpm and alarm goes off. it is full of gas 90 gallons at least. with three people. i thought it felt a little slower than my h2x. it has the same prop as my h2x

23p mirage plus 3 blade
496 ho 425 hp
bravo x 1.50

i would like more top end if possible. also 4 blade if this could go together.

whats the stock prop supposed to be?

Most of the 25 OL settle on a 4 blade of some kind, usually B1. It works well overall especially preventing blowout while turning. Mid range cruise picks up considerably and you might see just a bit more speed on the top end. If you are turning a 23 mirage that hasn't been touched to 5400 RPM you have a really strong 496HO. Get a bigger wheel. If memory serves me correct you will drop 200 RPM for each inch of pitch.

My 25 hated the 4 blade.Way too much stern lift.I would try and find a good used 25 mirage and send it to Brett at Bblades for some super tuning.

If you decide to go with a bigger wheel. I've got a 25 Mirage Plus for sale.

It's all about what you like the feel of. My 25 blows out the 3-Blade, slip is way high hard to keep it on plane under 3000RPM and then doesn't want to take off from there without blowing out. I would try a 24P B1 to see if you like or even a 26P B1.

It all depends on which four blade you were using, some are blow lift and some are stern lift.

I agree with talking to Bblades plus he has a loaner program.
