Anyone on here ever dealt with Waves and Wheels for boat stereo stuff? Also, has anyone heard the four speaker pods they put the Focal speakers in, QAP-1-Ws? They were really informative on the phone but not sure I'm going to get a chance to drive down from Peoria to hear the Focals before I order them.. Looking for some opinions. Thanks....

I have only heard very good things about Waves and Wheels and about the Focal speakers. A freind of mine does a lot of installs and Focals are his highest recommended choice in speakers.
I don't think you can go wrong using Waves and Wheels or the Focals.

Justin has done two installs for me. Both excellent jobs. You really don't need to drive all the way just to hear them. Best sounding stuff. Go with the poly glass. They are worth the extra money. I have two four speaker pods on the arch and two pairs on the sides of the arch. Sounds great.

Thanks guys. That's the kind of info I was looking for. I'm trying to get some sound off the back of the boat and out onto the sunpads out front and those pods ought to do it. It's a little far for them to do some custom enclosure so I think I'll stick with the QAPs they make.
As fas as the polyglass, I think those are the 165cvx. Help me out if I'm wrong.
Thanks again guys.

BTW redbud, that's a good looking set up.....nice.

I don't know the specifics on part numbers, but I know a few of my freinds and the one that does the installs prefers the Polyglass series. He said they will hold up better for a marine application due to the materials used to build them.

Justin at Wave and Wheels did my 42 Fountain Lightning with Focals and it was incredible. I am a very happy customer. Never had a problem and it plays loud, clear and with good bass too. The Fountain factory is actually using Waves and Wheels stuff now too. My new Fountain Poker Run came with Waves and Wheels custom enclosures.

I really appreciate all the feedback. Maybe we need an audio forum on here. I think I've pretty much settled on the enclosures waves and wheels makes. I just need to add something to get music out the back and out front and not look stupid hanging on the arch. Alot of the wake board speakers sound good but don't look real great on a cruiser,ie; Wet Sounds and JL Audio.

You are correct and the 165 CVX are the Polyglass series. The access are 165CA's wich are also good speakers, but the polyglass are worth the extra cash. Justin will know what you want if you tell him you want to go with the polyglass speakers.
