Really dumb question here, what is the correct rotation for the seawater pump impeller? Vanes facing forward or rearward?

They fix themselves when the engine starts anyway. Doesn't matter which way you stick it in the hole.

my housing had an arrow on the back saying its rotation... other than that you could bump the starter on the engine and see which way its gonna turn the pulley.

the top pic in each post would be the correct way if it were spinning that direction

I always thought that they would fix themselves if you put them in wrong?
