Working on my buddy's 272 and it has a powered white stern light. The other day he let the batteries die and the stern light was in it's extended position. When he put new batteries in the boat, the stern light would not retract and the white light does not come on either. When you turn the nav lights ON, you can hear the motor in it running, but when you turn the nav lights off, I cannot hear the motor trying to retract it. It has power to the light, there are two positive leads, fused positive and switched positive. I cannot get the thing to work and a call to the company informed me that the man I need to talk to is on vacation. Has anyone had this problem? Help!

I have had some issues with mine but only when I still have low voltage will it not retract all the way. You may need to work the button several times until it figures out where it is.
