alternator wiring help

its a car alternator
if it were marine it would have studs on it with a nut and not a plug in terminals..anyways if you need to use it you have to connect the spade terminal that is the closest to the stud and run that to a power wire like the starter + or the main + wire where the old alternator harness is..you will leave the other spade alone..once you hook it up this way and you start the engine i wont charge unless you rev it then it will start charging..

Need help wiring alternator. Its a one wire,but there are two posts on top. Do I have to hook them up too? I have the marine cover off. It is a marine alt.
