Latham Marine hosts Singers, Politicians and Radio Personalities - AT THE SAME TIME!
Latham Marine hosted a pre-4th of July, All-American BBQ at their factory to invite friends, colleagues and clients to meet LTC Allen West who is running for Congress in District 22, South Florida. Radio personality Joyce Kaufman of WFTL AM attended and did a brilliant commentary on her show the following day, citing the power of small business in America. She was so impressed by the technology of the Latham Marine factory, the heart and soul that went into the refurbishing of the POW Dragster that ushered LTC West to the event, with its engine roaring up the street of the manufacturing corridor—with the patriotism that the Latham’s displayed in holding this event. Following a heart-warming performance by Nashville recording artist, Colton James who came to perform his song, “Brave Men” that will be released next 4th of July, Kathy Latham took the microphone and inspired the crowd with her brief comments. She said she didn’t ask people to write checks to Allen West’s campaign, understanding that times are hard and money is tight. She did, however, ask everyone to go to the polls in November and bring two people with them—making sure that they make a statement about what they want in America, urging the crowd to support Allen West, take their country back and defend the strength that we have been known for over the centuries.
The crowd applauded, enjoying the music, the messages, the all-American burgers and hot dogs and the spirit that Latham Marine created to share the American Dream that they have built—and want to see continue into the years ahead. It started in a small race shop over 37 years ago and based on Yankee ingenuity and hard work, they built a business of top-quality products—all Made In America, supporting the great country that they love. It made everyone there feel proud to be an American, be a part of that dream and honor all those 3,500+ POW’s and MIA’s whose names painted on the car gave witness to a fraction of those who made the ultimate sacrifice to protect this country and our rights. Remember them as we celebrate the 4th of July holiday.
