Default 42 Fountain on Ebay - Spun Out

Does anybody know the story behind the spun out 42' Fountain on Ebay from Shogren? Looks like it says Richmond, IN on rear of boat, just interested in how it happened. Heard someone spun a Fountain from Richmond down at Cumberland.

That boat isn't worth $10........ too far stripped. You would have double in it what a non damaged one is currently worth.

It's actually worth $0 to the private buyer as you cannot register a previously registered boat as homemade. BUT, it could be a good deal for a boat builder. $1000 bucks will get you the fasted v-bottom design around.

Or would be worth something to someone with a stolen 42 Lightning and lots of parts to swap!

The hull splashing idea sounds reasonable..........

would removing the beak and the swim platform be enough of a change to be splashable?? it is 10% of the length of the boat.....

The boat caught a wake on a turn and spun. The 42 went back to the factory and was rebuilt on a new hull with the exact same paint job. All parts were transfered over. No big story just a bad day boating. The owner has had many high end fast boats. He still boats on Cumberland.

I am not saying splash it. But a tape measure, angle finder, pencil and paper will yeild some information that many have tried to figure out.
