I have no buzzer currently on my 95 Mirage 257 with re-power 496. I replaced the buzzer last week, worked great. Beeped once with key on, seemed fine. Day later, no beep. I can hear the buzzer sort of clicking with the key on now.
My guess is it's shorting out somehow, any advice?
Thanks-

Older carb motors used a buzzer with time delay. EFI motors use a sonalert without time delay as the time delay and beeps are controlled internally by the computer. Make sure you are using the proper one for your computer.

It really doesn't matter what kind of buzzer is in there. Bottom line, the buzzer constantly has power. Check to make sure your 12volts is getting to the one side. The ground to activate the buzzer is supplied by any one of the sending units, or initially on turning the key. If you have power and ground, the buzzer should work, if it doesn't, it's junk.
A way to test, pull both bullet connectors apart at the drive resevoir, and short the two wires from the main harness going to the resevoir. Turn your key, buzzer should stay on.
Mine is intermittant now and then when turning the key, sometimes i get the warning beep, sometimes not. I found that my 12volt input was intermittant at the fuse holder......
Take it for what it's worth...
