Kelleys Island. Be pretty cool if you make it this way. Bringing the boat or coming for work stuff? There are a lot of great people from here on the board that are in the Sandusky area and would be happy to show you all our favorite haunts.

Thanks for the replies.
Actually, my kids are dying to go to Cedar Point, and the water parks.
So it would be a family vaca... but the wife would like someplace nice to stay too. So maybe a few days at the park, and a few somewhere else?
No boat. And not looking to mooch a ride either.
Looking for good ideas from you guys/gals.

If its too much to type... PM me your phone...

Storm, it ain't moochin if I'm offering ya a ride !!!!

I recomend staying at one of the water parks , then take the bus to Cedar Point , that way when you and the wife get tired and want to relax in the room the kids can go slide in the water park. There are three parks with hotels, Kalahari, Great Wolf and Castaway Bay, Castaway is owned by Cedar Point and is by the entrance to the Park, has a Fridays Resturant on site and is on the water. Many many things to do in the area, ya won't have enough time !!

OK... I'm back.
Ended up booking Kalahari, nicer rooms than castaway bay.
Staying wed 25th thru Saturday 28th. We'll do a day or so at cedar pt, and want to go to Put in Bay. What recommendations for P.I.B?

We will also be spending Sat-Mon in Cleveland. Rock n' Roll hall of fame, Football H.O.F. and an Indians game are on the intinerary. Any other ideas for cleveland... good eats?

I go to Put-in-Bay all the time from north Lake St. Clair. It is an awesome boating destination especially week-days when slips are available and it's not too crazy. I plan to do a Cedar Point overnighter. On their web site they describe the marina which is one of the largest on the Great Lakes. They have a separate entrance for boaters and two restaurants and a swimming pool and store just for boaters. Have fun and be safe. Use your chart plotter as there are hazards in that area.
