my engine hatch is stuck shut. motor makes a ratching sound when you try to open it similar to what it made when it was fully closed. i took the hinge pins out and can't access it from that side either. any ideas?

Have you tried pulling the hatch up / open while somebody else holds the switch? That will generally get a power hatch open enough to pull the pin.

it just keeps on clicking. I even trie taking the hing pins out and doing it from that end, no change... thanks for the reply!

check your main fuse off the battery selector. might be alittle corrosion going on there. thats what happened to mine last year. made me crazy until i found that was the issue.... mark

if you cant get it open you will have to axes the bolt that holds the ram to the hatch threw the side vents. good luck

Ah, anybody with at leat a 48" sleeve ought to be able to reach that!
