This post went nowhere in the tech forum, so we're trying it here in the general discussion area.
Someone keyed one of our cars a few weeks ago. Actually, I think they used a rock from the gravel parking lot where it was parked.
I'm over being angry (yeah, right) and now just want to fix it without filing an insurance claim if possible. They got both doors on the passanger side, but did not get through the primer/galv. coating. When the scratch is wet, it is almost invisible. The paint is deep brown with a slight metalic flake.
Can anything be done to hide the scratch other than repainting?
Thanks.

Later: Thanks. I'm in Indy right now, but will contact you soon when back in St. Louis. Ellisville is just down the road from us in Chesterfield. It will be nice to meet you, as we are neighbors and all that.

I've always boated on the Ozarks, where the family has a condo. Used to live in Columbia, and it was quick and easy to run down there.
Just bought a house in St. Louis a couple of months ago. We've lived in Indy for 4 years, and I still have an office there. It's where I am now. Never boated around St. Louis before, but look forward to exploring around Alton and the IL river after Bruce fixes my engines. He's a busy guy right now, but I hope he gets them done soon.
