Hi everyone. I'm thinking of selling my engine & outdrive combination and moving to a more stock set-up on my boat. Engine is a 900 HP motor (540 cubic inches, Whipple 3.3 Liter Supercharger, Dart Aluminum heads, Holley Dominator, absolute best quality parts used throughout). The engine can be de-tuned to produce more or less horsepower if needed by changing the supercharger pulley (can safely make anywhere between 700 & 1,000 horsepower depending on pulley size used). This motor has around 25 hours of total running time on it and it was properly broken in. It was built by an extremely repudable marine shop (HTG Racing on Grand Island, NY - you can google them and check the website).

The outdrive is a Bravo XR Drive with a Mercury Sportmaster 2" Shorty Lower. The drive is in great condition and also has very low hours.

This motor/outdrive combination would be a great package for someone looking to upgrade a single engine V -bottom or cat to gain a lot more speed and still be reliable. And you can sell your current engine/drive to make up most of the cost. My asking price for the whole engine/outdrive package is $25K or best offer. Nobody interested in this? I could use the money for another project, SO NO REASONABLE OFFER WILL BE REFUSED!! Would also consider separating the motor and outdrive if needed. How stock do you want to go? I have a 500EFI sitting complete ready to bolt in. under 150 hrs, i would have to check exact. maybe a trade and some coin?

Wildthing - I may want to make sure that I have the motor sold before I sell the outdrive separately. This is because this motor needs an XR drive with a nose cone'd sportmaster lower - and I don't want to be left with the motor without having the good drive.

Offshoredrillin - I would prefer to sell the motor or the combination outright rather than trading. You should be able to get good coin for your 500EFI selling sepatately. Would you want to buy it outright? Or if not what type of trade were you thinking?

Holy crap thats a good deal!
Anyone with a good running stock setup can buy your boat swap drivetrain resell your boat cheap and still end up with one hell of a deal..
Good luck with it, if it was me I would be holding on to it until things turn around but I understand when you need to sell you need to sell.
