Need a little help guys,,, I am switching from a 7.4 lx mpi to a 502 MPI,,, the 502 I bought was out of a Cigarette with twins, I got the non powersteering motor. The coolers on my motor have the oil cooler in front of the motor and the ps cooler in back,,,, the new 502 has a large oil cooler in back,,, I need to know where merc mounts the ps cooler on this motor,,, Thanks !!!!

I think it's a small cooler on the side down low by the harmonic balancer. It's on the side opposite of the sea water pump.

obnoxus, Cord is right. Unless they have been in different locations, mine is a 97 502MPI and it is behind the alternator and below & toward the back of the motor mount. If the hoses you get are long enough, mount it a few inches behind the motor mount. It will make it easier to pull apart when you have to winterize. Good luck!
