Default Any boating lakes in Southern Arizona?

I might be moving to Southern Arizona, and I was wondering if there is any lakes down south that are suitable for boating. I will be about an hr SE of Tucson. Within 2 hours would be preferred if there is any.

Thanks

No lakes big enough for a power boat in the area you're talking about. You'd probably have to go west to Yuma (Colorado River) or Phoenix.

Thanks, kinda what I was figuring. What about Elephant Butte in New Mexico? Is that suitable for any type of boating, and what is the size?

If I went up towards Phoenix area what lakes should I look into?

Thanks for the help.

There is lots of good lakes in Arizona. This weekend PREDATOR will be testing at Roosevelt lake which is about 40 miles long and has the best launch ramps in the state along with a marina.Apache lake is my favorite but it is acessed by dirt road,is 17 miles long ,has a marina, restaurant, and hotel. It has some of the prettiest scenery in the state. Both of these lakes are 3-3.5 hours noth of Tucson.

Ok so that makes the hike for me about 4-41/2 hrs. I have no problem traveling for a good weekend of boating, just cant see a trip like that being an every weekend deal.

But thanks for the tips, I will keep those in mind!

Might want to checkout Pleasant too its just north of PHX. Bartlett is a bit too small for a 25+ speedboat IMHO, but would be a bood place for a wakeboard boat.

You'll probably like Pleasant the best. It's easy to get on and off and a pretty good party scene on weekends. Check out Dillon's on the lake for lunch, happy hour, or dinner and drinks.

I think Saguaro Lake is prettier but is smaller and parking is not all that great.
