Default Just got a new Scarab

Hey All,

New to the forums and first time boat owner. I bought a 1996 22' Scarab w/ the 350. Boat and engine have about 190 hours and it is in great condition.

If anyone has any suggestions post away. Also, I need a new fuel gauge and was curious if anyone knows where I could purchase a match to the stock gauges?

Thanks!
Anthony

Find out who made the guage, you can send it in to be rebuilt and it will still match.

Faria made the gauges for the Scarab 22... I called them on a tach for the 22 and they told me they don't make it any longer, but said they could repair my old one. The Scarab 19 uses the same black gauges...

Ask them out their life time warentee on their gauges. I sent them a tack a couple years ago. I think it cost me $50 and they sent me a new one. But they said they had the option to repair the one I had. Got is back in about 4 weeks. I was very happy cuz a new one was over $200!!

Welcome to the board! My first boat that I purchased on my own was a 96 Scarab 22 with a 454. It had a custom dash with Livorsi guages - check out the pic.

Gladhe8er, your old Scarab 22 was for sale at a marina here in New Jersey last September... I remember the custom dash and red steering wheel...

Are you sure it a bad gauge?? It could be the sender or in the wiring. If its the gauge, then check ebay

Congrats on the new boat.
