i have a 1991 Myco Trailer. The trailer has regular old chrome solid wheel center caps, with dust caps on the hubs. I had thought about installing bearing buddies, but according to dexter axles, they say the dust cap setup is better if you have non greasable spindles with drum brakes, which i do.
According to them, the bearing buddys put to much psi in the hub, causing the grease to leak past the seal, and into the drums/brakes. Which i have seen alot of on boat trailers with bearing buddys.
So am i just better off keeping it how it came, and just frequently repacking the bearings with good quality marine grease?
