Had my pcm scanned the other day after getting the two beeps every minute alarm of my '01 496HO. The only recent code was a "CPProp Mode Switch High". Mechanic and service manager had never heard of this so they called the Mercury rep but he had never heard of it either. So the question is has anyone on here ever heard of this code? I know the CP is usually cam position but the rest doesn't make any sense. Any thoughts? I posed this in the Mid Atlantic Region secton but no responce. Thought I'd widen the views for more help.
