Default Tell me about boating Lake Tahoe

Spent a few days at Lake Tahoe about 3 years ago. Launched and got a slip at Tahoe Keys. Had a nice time.

I'd like to go back this Aug/Sept but would rather anchor somewhere and stay on the boat. Any coves that are well protected to anchor overnight? Any laws on doing this? I hear now boats need to be inspected and pay a fee before launching. Any ramps better then others as far as crowds and getting inspected?

How about boat in restaurants that are good or a must do?

Thanks for any insider info.

I just saw that some guys paid up to $205 to launch their boat.
